"O Romeo, Romeo! Where fort art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name;
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love;
And I will no longer be a Capulet!"

"Tis but thy name that is my enemy..."

You know, I'm actually starting to really enjoy reciting this excerpt from Romeo and Juliet, which actually comes as quite surprising to me since I hate giving effort in things that I find pointless or rotten for my plans that usually consist of the internet and trying to figure out what to do during the day. Eh, oh well.

At first I was really sour about this whole thing, because I haven't attempted acting in YEARS. Now, I'm not little miss superstar in the drama area, but then again, I've never actually taken a class or anything. The only "acting" I've ever really done from what I'm aware of is the play I was in when I was about 8 or so years old and those moments of making myself cry and be Miss Psycho Bitch in the bathroom because it's funny and keep me from getting too bored and lonely. But I've gotten past that barrier of speech, in a sense, so I'm kind of getting used to expressing different emotions and ways of speaking because of this. Therefore, I find that this project is useful because I am enjoying it.

That, and the lines really aren't as hard to memorize as I thought they'd be. I've got what I've quoted at the top down pretty well, and this is just day one of practice for me since I spent the other days without my literate book and deciding what excerpt to recite once I did get it back. Pretty snazzy. 8)

On another note, I'm considering to write a story about my imagination on what a movie about Lyn and I would be like. It's kind of weird to me, because I'm usually thinking about that sort of thing when in thought of her, and in the end I usually do end up acting that whole thing out. Humorous, yes. But I've gotta say, it may seem lame later on, but right now it sounds kind of...I dunno, "brilliant" in a sense. Maybe not ingenious or anything, but this is actually one of the first times I've taken the idea seriously of writing a story about it. As you can see, my sentence structure and grammar are pretty shitty, but I'm sure I could take my time on the chapters...my problem is that I want to start with the beginning in every story, and that usually takes me forever and leads me to quitting. I'd write what I want to write about right now (anyone see a pun on those words, sort of? no? maybe?), but then that'd just make me dread the chapters before it like the last time I tried that. SO...who knows? Just gotta get a good start off and stay motivated.

Last Friday, the school I've been going to was nice enough to give the 8th grade a whole day there of Field Day. We were allowed to bring whatever we wanted (with the exclusion of the whole weapons and whatnot, obviously), so there was quite a lot of kids that brought their guitars, including me. My friend Danny taught me the "concept" of Drop D Tuning and how to do it, so I'm very ecstatic about that, especially since I can now hear the difference between the regular (or whatever) tuning I had used on my acoustic for the bass line of a song and the Drop D stuff for it. Drop D is kick ass. It kills. It can lick my fingers any day. ;) Ha ha ha!

Field Day also included an Awards Ceremony, where I was brought up on stage for 2 certificates. One was for some PAWS award, the other for being a student aid in Special Ed. =) As much as I may disagree with those girls' views on parenting, religion, and child abuse, I've got to say they're very sweet to people who are on their good side. I'm getting comfortable around them now though, so if they judge me for how my personality really is (since when I'm nervous or under pressure, I'm super nice at an attempt at being professional), then I'll just have to give them the bird when they're not looking. x) I can count how many days are left of school with my two hands, so summer is coming soon; chances are I won't have to face conflict with them if they decide I'm removed from their good student list, so there! In your face!

After the awards were passed out, I went to homeroom to get my guitar and headed outside where a live band--that consisted of kids I know, including Mason and Connor--was playing. They were pretty good, even though I'd never heard the songs they covered (which is probably a good thing), but you had to stand next to Anderson's microphone in order to hear him since the guitars and drum set were  superior in volume levels to his device. In all honesty, I wish I was the one singing behind that microphone with some sort of [enjoyable] instrument at hand. Not that I'm any good or anything.

I ended up going back to school around 7 PM for the 8th Grade Dance with my two friends Cam and Torii. They had gone over to my place to get ready, which is where I found out that Cam's curly blonde hair is like Ken's (the barbie doll) brunette locks. Seriously! Cam wanted his hair straightened, but I swear to god, it was nearly fucking impossible for me and Torii to do! Poor kid. xD

They tried to give it a little bit of a theme, and it was pretty cute. I was in my aunt's pink plaid strapless dress that I found in the closet with my denim jacket, so I got some high gives while standing on the red carpet they put out. Yep, it was some celebrity sort of theme. It was funny though, because when you got to the front of the line, one of the english teachers in our grade would ask you a question with her fancy little microphone and "interview you". Fuck, they even had someone video recording it a few feet away. For Cam and I, she asked us if we were one another's date for the dance. We both said no, since we weren't, but yeah...she asked us something else, but I forgot.

Inside the cafeteria, where the dance was, were these blue curtains hanging from the windows with white Christmas lights behind them. They looked like stars, which was really awesome.

I spent most of my time kind of walking around up to groups of "friends" of mine and dancing like a dumbass with Cam and Torii. The kids were all being boring as hell, nothing like my friends back home, but it was still a good night. Can't complain, really, otherwise you'd be able to complain about my shitty review.

My cat Chloe (technically my aunts' cat) got sick, but she's alive and finally got back home, so hopefully she'll improve soon. She hasn't gotten any better, according to the vet, but she wasn't gotten worse either. See, the issue was that she had a bunch of fluid in her lungs that was causing her to struggle with eating and breathing. The poor baby would have moments where she'd gasp for air, so she had to be put on oxygen while at the hospital. Ah, shit...
